Mission Statement:

To serve the citizens of North Carolina, with quality and efficiency, by providing an independent forum for prompt and impartial resolution of administrative law contested cases involving citizens and state agencies; investigating alleged acts of unlawful employment practices in state government; functioning as the State’s codifier and publisher of all administrative rules; and reviewing rules before the Rules Review Commission.

 

 
  • OAH will be closed Monday Sept. 6 for Labor Day.
  • OAH has issued an RFP to provide publication of the N.C. Administrative Code and ALJ Decisions when the current contract expires for a period of three years with an additional three year option. Proposals must be received by 5 PM, September 17, 2010.
  • Updated G.S. 150B (The Administrative Procedure Act) based on recent legislative changes (Aug. 4, 2010)
  • The cost per tape for an audio recording of a hearing has increased. (May 1, 2010)
  • OAH has added a Hearings listserv to distribute important information relating to administrative hearings. To join, fill in this form. (Jan. 25, 2010)
  • OAH will charge a filing fee for certain types of contested cases beginning Oct. 1, 2009. Some fees have changed, effective Dec. 1, 2009.
